Friends and family are the first source of support for women in abusive relationships. Often people don’t know what to do or where to get supports.
This app is also useful for legal, health or social services professionals. Different professionals can play an important role when they know how to recognise, respond and refer domestic violence victims.
There are over 40 domestic violence specialist support services for women in Ireland including refuges. These are free and confidential services and work with victims of domestic violence to respond to their safety, practical, emotional and child related needs.
